Trip to Bhowali, Uttarakhand
To travel is to live. Rightly said by Hans Christian Andersen.
The students of Prudence also escaped to the jungles of Bhowali, Uttarakhand for four days. They were introduced to a camping site where they were taught various survival techniques in the jungle. The camp began with warm up session where children were briefed about the day's activities. They were taught about various rope knots, how they are made and the use of each knot. They were given hands on experience in Tent Pitching which was put into practice when they went out camping in the jungle over night. Children experienced Rappelling, Ziplining, Rock climbing and many such adventure activities. They trekked around 1.5 to 2 kms inside the jungle and camped out in the open sky for one night. They played team building games like Hangman, Angry birds pulley, Strike the bomb etc. This nurtured team spirit and our students came out better human beings, who are more caring, compassionate and filled with the importance of cohesion.
